The function of wind power gearbox filter
Filter is an important part of gearbox lubrication system.
In order to reduce the friction resistance between the relative moving parts in the gearbox (mainly gears and bearings at all levels) and reduce the wear of the parts, the lubricating oil is continuously transported to the friction surface of the moving parts to form a lubricating oil film for lubrication. The lubricating oil itself contains a certain amount of gum, impurities, moisture and additives. At the same time, during the working process of the gear box, the entry of metal scraps, the entry of debris in the air, and the production of oil oxides, make the debris in the lubricating oil gradually increase. If the lubricating oil is not filtered and directly enters the lubricating oil path, the debris contained in the lubricating oil will be brought into the friction surface of the moving pair, accelerating the wear of the parts and reducing the service life of the gear box.
The function of the filter is to separate and filter out the impurities in the lubricating oil, so as to achieve the purpose of improving the quality and use time of the lubricating oil, reducing the friction of the parts in the gearbox, and increasing the life of the gearbox.
How the wind power gearbox filter works
Due to the large viscosity of the lubricating oil itself and the high content of debris, in order to improve the filtration efficiency, the current wind power gearbox filter is usually double precision filtration, there are two filter elements, coarse filter elements (usually 25um or 50um) and fine filter elements (10um), if there are higher filtration accuracy requirements, sometimes there are two different fine filter elements. At low temperature, the viscosity of the lubricating oil is high, the check valve on the filter element is opened (that is, the pressure of the lubricating oil exceeds the pressure value of the check valve), and the lubrication is only coarse filtering; When the oil temperature is higher, the oil pressure is lower, the check valve on the filter element is closed (that is, the pressure of the lubricating oil is less than the pressure of the check valve), and the lubricating oil is filtered.
Some wind turbines add an additional offline filtration system to the gearbox for offline filtration.
