Misunderstanding one: The filter with bypass valve can not be cleaned or replaced for a long time after the filter element is blocked

Many users will think that the bypass valve of the filter and the safety valve of the system have the same function: the bypass valve is opened after the filter element is blocked, and the full flow of the system oil is passed through, which has no effect on the system. This is a wrong understanding. When the bypass valve of the filter is opened, the pollutants blocked by the filter element (the pollution particles that have been filtered out) will re-enter the system through the bypass valve. At this time, the local oil pollution concentration is the highest, which has great damage to the hydraulic components, and the previous pollution control will lose significance.

Unless the system requires a very high continuity of work, it is best to choose a filter without a bypass valve. Even if the filter with bypass valve is selected, when the pollution of the filter is blocked by the transmitter, it is necessary to clean or replace the filter element in time, which is the way to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the system.

Misunderstanding two: The service life of the filter is used to judge the performance of the filter

Since many users do not have oil contamination detection equipment, they judge the filter performance by the service life of the filter. Filter plugging speed indicates the good and bad performance, these two concepts are one-sided. Because the filtration performance of the filter is mainly reflected by the filtration ratio, the fouling capacity, the original pressure loss and other performance indicators, only in the same working condition and ensure the cleaning requirements of the hydraulic system, the longer the service life, the better.
