Characteristics and use of high pressure filter element

High-pressure filters are suitable for filtering solid and liquid impurities in high-pressure compressed air. The aluminum alloy high-pressure filter can handle up to 5MPa of compressed air, and the stainless steel high-pressure filter can handle up to 35MPa of compressed air. Among them, the hydraulic oil filter element is mainly responsible for the filtration of oil in the hydraulic system, and is used in the filter and oil filter installed in the hydraulic system. In the oil circuit of the hydraulic system, it is used to remove the metal powder and other mechanical impurities worn by the components in the hydraulic system to keep the oil circuit clean and prolong the life of the hydraulic system; the low-pressure series filter element is also equipped with a bypass valve. When the filter element is not replaced in time, the bypass valve can be automatically opened to ensure the normal operation of the system.

Classification and scope of application of hydraulic oil filter elements:

According to the installation position in the hydraulic system, the hydraulic oil filter element is divided into the oil filter element of the suction line, the oil filter element of the pressure line and the oil filter element of the return line.

  • Suction line hydraulic oil filter:

The oil suction pipeline (oil tank - hydraulic pump inlet) or installing the suction oil filter element in the oil tank directly is a necessary measure to protect the hydraulic pump. The accuracy is generally 100-180μm, which is determined according to the self-priming capacity of the pump. Excessive flow resistance will lead to cavitation of the hydraulic pump.

  • Pressure line hydraulic oil filter:

The pressure line oil filter element is not only to protect its downstream components, but also as the main oil filter to ensure the pollution degree of the oil in the system. Through its efficient purification of the oil, it also plays a good role in protecting the hydraulic pump. The filtration accuracy is 5-10μm, the pressure of the filter is large, and vibration is also great. The allowable pressure difference of the oil filter element in the pressure line is in the range of 0.3-0.7MPa according to different pressure levels. As a pressure line oil filter for ground equipment, the cost and installation space are considered comprehensively.

  • Oil return line hydraulic oil filter element:

Various pollutants such as wear particles generated by various components during the working process can be intercepted by installing an oil filter in the oil return line to prevent the pollutants from returning to the oil tank and being inhaled by the hydraulic pump. The allowable pressure difference of the oil filter in the oil return line is in the range of 0.3-0.5MPa according to different pressure levels. The accuracy is determined according to the requirements of the oil contamination degree. The factors to be considered in the setting of the oil filter in the return line are more complicated. One of the important factors is hydraulic shock, especially when there are hydraulic cylinders and proportional valves upstream, the reversing of hydraulic cylinders and proportional valves under high pressure. A sudden power failure will produce a large instantaneous flow impact, which will cause great damage to the filter element of the oil filter. When designing and selecting the oil filter for the return line, a full understanding should be given, and its structure should be strengthened.
